It takes an unfathomable supply of winter gear to live successfully in Alaska. This is most of the gear that we used in one weekend out playing on the tundra. Not shown are the two pairs of 40 below boots and the wool socks that kept our feet warm. Also not shown are all of the sweat shirts and thermals that kept our bodies insulated.

I should do a post on our entryway filled with outdoor gear x 7 - light, heavy, etc... it's nuts.
About book club - email me at funinalaska @ gmail .com and I'll tell you more info. It's open to anybody but I don't want to post other's names & such on the 'net :) There are other teachers in there too - you may know some of them.
