I cleaned it myself at the beginning of summer, then I hired some JH kids to do it back in November. The truck has been cleaned and detailed twice this year, but it is, of course, still dirty. Such is life!
I learned that it's hard to write an updated resume when you dont know what job you're applying for or where you are going to live. I also have a whole portfolio to update. I updated what I could, but was not really feeling it since I am so far out from actually applying for a new job.
I started this rug back in November as a Christmas gift for my friend Sadie. It quickly became a tedious project and I abandoned it. So I've had this box full of strips of cloth hanging around my bedroom for months. Today, I got sick of looking at it and decided to finish it once and for all. Ta-da!
This year I'm gaining some inspiration from my friend, Erin, who started a birthday list last year. Her list includes a long list of things to accomplish with the goal of hitting a certain number of them, rather than writing a certain number of goals and trying to accomplish them all. So, there are 70 items on this list and my goal is the accomplish 35 of them before I turn 36. The first nine are rollovers from last years list.
I've been reading off this BBC 100 best books list since 2010. Hard to believe I only have read 39, some of them only in part. I think I will continue to read occasionally off this list, but I'm also ready to move on to some more modern reading lists. So many books to read and so little time. Here are the 5 I read this year...
Little Women- Louisa May Alcott
The Great Gatsby- F Scott Fitzgerald
The Woman in White- Wilky Collins
Sense and Sensibility- Jane Austin
Tale of Two Cities- Charles Dickens
I'm a high school science teacher currently living my dream of teaching out in bush Alaska. I'm always up for new adventures and like to travel anywhere and everywhere. This blog is a way to keep in touch with friends and family, journal about life, and share my experiences with the world.
