I don't think we're in Kansas!

We just had a major storm with at least three tornadoes that touched down. One touched down 2 miles north, another a couple miles south, and another a couple miles east. The tornado sirens went off about an hour ago and since then we've had the three tornadoes, a bunch of rain, and some serious winds up to 80mph! It was pretty interesting there for awhile. I was thinking we might have to climb in the bathtub there for a minute.

The picture above shows the extent of our damage....one downed tree limb. Doesn't seem like much, but I really like that tree. It's the one that shades my patio from the midday sun and provides a cozy canopy feeling when I've got a fire going in the fire pit.

Everything is all calm now. The birds chirping and the frogs are croaking. The robins are scavenging the lawn for any signs of drowned out worms to gobble up. The sky is wrapped in magnificent colors.
And after every major storm must come a rainbow. In less than an hour, we went from deadly tornadoes to rainbows. Just doesnt seem right, does it?
The storm is/was moving at the massive clip of 70mph and is already up to Lake Erie!

The wind is nonexistent now, although we do have a thunderstorm warning until 1am. I hope we do get some more storms...I'm lovin' it!Have a great weekend...I know I will!

Hi Alisha,

In Northern WI today we had a lot of strong winds with little rain.

Thanks for the picture sharing...I can relate a bit more to those:)

You're still welcome to visit.
