Bethel's Painted Dumpsters

Bailey thought she'd try out blogging.
Bailey really loves her Elephant. She always seems to be playing with it. Just like a little kid with a favorite stuffed animal that they carry everywhere.
Just wanted to give you an update on gas prices here in Bethel. I took this picture on Friday when I was dropping my car off to get the oil changed. Want to know how much my oil change was? $148 Shocking, isnt it? No more $19.95 oil changes in my near future.
I've been meaning to post these pictures for a long time. Most of the dumpsters in Bethel are painted. The way trash collection works here is that there are these dumpsters in various places around town and you have to take your trash to one of those dumpsters. The city then goes around and empties them. I think it is actually quite an efficient way to get rid of trash instead of the truck driving around all day to everyones house.
Painting them makes them a little more presentable and gives each community its own personality. Bethel is special in so many ways and this is one of them.
This one is my favorite.

You can see these pics were taken back in the fall.

This is only a small handful of the painted dumpsters. There are so many more around the city, but this is something pretty unique to Bethel and I had to share it with you all.

In other news...
Weather...It's been hovering around -10 for about a week now. It's pretty cold, but the sun has been shining bright each day. We havent had any bad weather for awhile. There's still several inches of old snow on the ground. It keeps everything nice and white.

Daylight...We're up to 5hours and 50minutes of daylight. Tomorrow will be 2minutes and 27seconds longer. Just to give you an idea of how that compare to Ohio...Van Wert had 9hours and 19 minutes of daylight today. Tomorrow will be 51 seconds longer.

Packer update...They ended the regular season 13-3, with two losses coming from the Bears and one from the Cowboys. I think they could have won that game against the Cowboys if so many of their main guys, including Favre, hadnt been out with injuries. I'm looking forward to seeing the Pack beat the Cowboys in the NFC championship. The Packers get a first round bye in the playoffs so they will be nice and rested for their first playoff game. The Superbowl is on my birthday again this year, which is kinda cool. Next years opponents have been released and the most notable of them is the Colts in Green Bay. I'll look forward to that game for next year (Kevin... should be interesting!)

Latest read...Three Weeks with my Brother by Nicholas Sparks and Micah Sparks. It was a memoir about the lives of Nicholas and his brother. It was an easy, fast, light read. It was definitely not the best memoir I've ever read, but it was good. It got better as it went on and brought forth tears a couple of times. It had a way of making you remember what's important in life...people.

Cute pics! Chandra's Holli will generally have a stuffed animal either in her mouth or near her.

We dropped Chandra off at the airport this morning...hair help is on its way:)

Take Care,
